Boxing champ declares new fitness studio a real hit
Find out how to prevent getting a bad back at work
FORMER world champion boxer Stuart Hall has opened the region’s first fitness studio designed especially for business men and women.
The Corporate Personal Fitness studio in Darlington’s Business Central is a state-of-the-art facility designed to help busy executives beat their own personal battle of the bulge.
Former IBF world bantamweight champion, Stuart cut the red tape to officially declare the studio open for business earlier this month at a launch also attended by Darlington’s Mayor, councillor Brian Jones.
After a tour of the studio, Stuart said: “Keeping fit is becoming more and more difficult because so many people are tethered to their desks during working hours – and don’t want to visit a busy gym on an evening.
“The CPF fitness studio fits the bill perfectly. It’s filled with the latest equipment and the hours have been tailored to fit around busy working lives. I am very impressed.”
CPF was launched earlier this year by fitness expert John Harrison and businessman Patrick Masheder.
There is a special offer of half price membership for the first month.
As well as the studio, CPF also provides in-work fitness training for progressive companies wishing to look after the health and well-being of staff.
Patrick explained: “Busy business people kept telling us they didn’t have time to look after themselves.
“A gym membership is an investment in your future but it’s only worthwhile if you can find the time to use it. The CPF studio is open when business people want to use it and we have taken the trouble out of booking appointments by designing our own smartphone app so clients can schedule their training online.
“We also guarantee that there will never be more than ten people in the studio at any one time so clients can exercise in comfortable and relaxing surroundings.”
